The Wind Is Up and We’re on

A collection of poems written during the governance of the world’s youngest female prime minister.

“...haunting, visionary…”

The Listener

Written in Aotearoa over a few years in the small windows of time that parenting afforded, these poems respond to a failed flag referendum, a national tendency to over-celebrate sports, and the hopeful moments of a country slowly attempting to decolonise.

Edited while a new Prime Minister gave birth to her child, and a whale visited Te Whanganui-a-Tara.

Published 2018 by Barbarian Productions Ltd.

Full of fierce creative emotion and featuring a cover design by Thomas LaHood.
